Get a Machine Running

Objective: Install Ubuntu Linux on your machine from scratch.

The Mission

Your machine either has Windows on it, has a broken OS, or has nothing at all. Your job is to wipe it and install Ubuntu. Not dual-boot. Not a virtual machine. A full, clean install.

You'll need to figure out how to access BIOS/UEFI and change the boot order. Every machine is different. That's your problem to solve.

The Challenge 2 tasks
  1. 1

    Take a screenshot of your Ubuntu desktop showing the terminal open with the output of uname -a displayed. This proves you installed it and can open a terminal.

  2. 2

    Write down three problems you ran into during installation and how you solved them.
